It has been one year since Got The Shot Productions has been founded. A lot has been learnt in this year and I am sure that we will learn more with time to come. The support we have received so far, for our production services, has been phenomenal. I (Pierre Prins a.k.a. Ozzie) would personally like to thank everyone that has been part of this journey so far.
It is no joke hiking up the steep mountains of the Karoo, going after klipspringers, with a ton of gear (Cameras, tripods, spares, and supplies). This can be quite the physically draining experience, but the accomplishment of getting to the top, capturing all the adventure and exciting experience along the way with our clients can not be sold for anything else on earth. If we are not on the top of mountains we are trekking through the Eastern Cape coastal bush for a variety of species like bushbuck and the ever elusive East Cape Kudu. There is no limits as to where we are willing to go with our camera gear in order to capture the raw, un-staged adventures of our clients on their safaris.
As I said, it takes quite a bit out of you at the end of the day, but the reward is far greater. So in the pursuit of these great rewards I have taken up running to keep my fitness levels up. So if I’m not out in the field filming, in the office editing amazing lifetime adventure, you can find me on the trails, training or running races. These training and race days have had a very rewarding effect, as it allows me to freely run in parts of our beautiful country that I call home, South Africa.
With the 2016 safari season just around the corner, I can honestly say we at Got The Shot Productions are more then ready to take on any challenges that may come our way.
Enjoy the video clip below. This is a glimpse of the various conditions I train in to prepare myself for any safari that comes my way. This is also the first of many video entries we will be making, so make sure to stay in touch and follow our adventures as we aim to share these and other behind the scenes experiences with you on a more regular basis.
Thanks again to all of those who have already made use and supported our video services here at Got The Shot Productions. If you haven’t already done so, feel free to like, subscribe, follow and share our social media accounts on any of your favourite platforms.
Until next time. Yours in safari adventure films and editing,
